West Ham legend Ray Parlour has issued a stark warning to manager Nuno Espirito Santo, claiming the Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday could be his final game in charge.
The Hammers’ alarming 3-0 defeat to bottom-side Wolves on Saturday left them four points adrift of safety, fuelling speculation that drastic changes are imminent at the London Stadium.
Nuno, who was born in Sao Tome, has struggled to galvanize a West Ham squad that has produced underwhelming performances throughout the 2025/26 campaign.
Parlour expressed concern over both the players’ commitment and the team’s overall direction.
“I don’t think he lasts,” he told talkSPORT Breakfast. “I think this is the last game he’s got. I don’t know what you do. You’ve got to do something about what’s going wrong. I don’t know what the dressing room situation is with the players and the manager but something’s gone wrong.”
Efforts to strengthen the squad have been swift. The club secured Brazilian striker Pablo Felipe for £21.7 million, while Lazio forward Taty Castellanos joined for £26 million on Monday, signaling an attempt to arrest the slide.
Yet Parlour suggested that deeper issues persist, pointing to a lack of effort on the pitch.
“You put on that West Ham shirt, you go out, you’ve got to run through a brick wall,” he said. “You can have a bad game, there’s no doubt about that, everyone has bad games. But the effort, you see a bit of effort, you get away with it. West Ham fans, they want to see the desire.”
West Ham’s last league victory came against 19th-placed Burnley on November 8, leaving fans frustrated with a run of dismal results.
