Thiago Pitarch ends international future speculation with Spain commitment
Real Madrid’s promising midfielder Thiago Pitarch has ended speculation about his international future by pledging himself to Spain, despite strong efforts from Morocco to win him over.
The 18-year-old, currently starring with Spain’s U19 side, is eligible for both nations and had been courted by the Atlas Lions, including a personal approach from goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, who made it clear he would be welcomed warmly.
Speaking through Spain’s official channels, Pitarch left no doubt about his ambitions. “My dream? To make my debut with the senior national team and win titles,” he said, underlining how firmly he sees his future in La Roja’s colours.
He went on to stress that his journey is only just beginning. “If I’m here, it’s because I want to make it to the top. Step by step,” he added, reflecting a calm, focused mindset as he works towards a senior call-up.
With Real Madrid monitoring his progress closely and Spain securing another gifted midfielder for the next generation, Pitarch’s decision could prove significant for both club and country in the years ahead.
