The head coach of Egypt, Ibrahim Hassan is expecting a tough tie against Sierra Leone in his team’s next match in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The gaffer has rallied his players to stay focused ahead of the game, stressing that no team should be regarded as small.
“We have not yet decided our qualification. The dream is getting closer, but football is not reliable. There is no weak team now,” coach Ibrahim Hassan said after Egypt defeated Ethiopia 2-0 on Friday night.
The Pharaoh secured all three points from the match against Ethiopia thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Zizo.
Courtesy of the win, Egypt stays top of Group A with 13 points following four wins and a draw in the first five games of the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The next World Cup qualification match for the Pharaohs against Sierra Leone is scheduled for Egypt on Tuesday, March 25.
