Théophile Bola signs new contract with Espoir FC de Zio, aims for glory

Franco-Congolese coach Théophile Bola has committed his future to Espoir FC de Zio after signing a new contract with the Togolese club that will keep him in charge until 2026. Following several weeks of negotiations, the coach, who had been out of contract after the 2023-2024 season, agreed to stay on despite receiving offers from other clubs.

Bola, known for his coaching stints with Gbohloe-su and Semassi, ultimately decided to remain in Tsévié, where he has been building a promising project with Espoir FC.

The coach expressed his satisfaction after finalizing the new deal, which marks a rare opportunity for him to work with the same club for consecutive years in Togo.

“It’s a feeling of satisfaction that drives me,” Bola said after signing his contract.

“I’ve never had the trust to stay on for two consecutive years in Togo.

Now that I know the terrain, I know where I need to sow in order to harvest better.

I received several other offers, but I decided to stay here because I feel trusted.

My goal is to challenge for the title, and I hope the club’s management will support me in achieving that.”

Bola’s new two-year contract with Espoir FC signifies a strong vote of confidence in the coach’s ability to lead the team forward.

Under his guidance, Espoir FC is setting its sights on higher ambitions for the upcoming season, hoping to establish itself as a top contender in Togo’s D1 Lonato league.

With the 2024-2025 season set to begin on October 20, Bola and his staff are already preparing for what promises to be a highly competitive campaign.

The club is expected to make significant moves in the transfer market, with several new recruits anticipated in the coming days.

Espoir FC is determined to strengthen its squad and play a leading role in the championship next season.

Bola’s tenure at Espoir FC has already brought renewed energy and optimism to the team.

His previous experience with Gbohloe-su and Semassi demonstrated his tactical acumen and ability to develop players, and Espoir FC’s leadership is hopeful that his continued presence will help the club reach new heights.

Bola’s long-term ambition is clear—he aims to lead Espoir FC to a championship title.

As the new season approaches, Espoir FC’s supporters will be eager to see how the team performs under Bola’s guidance.

With a blend of new talent and experienced leadership, the club is looking to make a significant impact in the D1 Lonato league.

For Bola, this contract extension is an opportunity to prove that his methods can deliver success in Togo’s top-flight football.

With the clock ticking towards the season opener, all eyes will be on Bola and his squad as they prepare to embark on what they hope will be a title-winning campaign.
