Thembinkosi Lorch nets debut goal for Wydad AC in 1-1 draw against Union Sportive Yacoub El Mansour

South African veteran Thembinkosi Lorch scored his first goal for Wydad Athletic Club on Friday, securing a point for the side in a 1-1 draw against Union Sportive Yacoub El Mansour.

The 32-year-old winger, who completed a permanent move to the Moroccan giants after a loan spell from Mamelodi Sundowns, came off the bench to make the difference.

Lorch struck in the 51st minute to level the game after the hosts had taken the lead in first-half injury time.

The goal followed his competitive debut last weekend, where he featured in Wydad’s 1-0 win over KAC Marrakech in the league opener.

With the draw, Wydad sit on four points after two matches in the Botola Pro campaign.

Lorch and his teammates will hope to return to winning ways in Week 3 of the Moroccan Botolo Pro 1.
