McDonald Zé Zanga, former Cameroonian football star and teammate of Samuel Eto’o and Geremi Njitap, has passed away in Guider, Northern Cameroon. His death was sudden and unexpected, as he reportedly spoke on the phone in the morning and later collapsed without recovering. Zé Zanga played a significant role in Cameroonian football from 1996 to 2006 and was the captain of Racing de Bafoussam, contributing to their vice championship in 2004. He played for various clubs, including Fédérale de Foumban, Coton Sport de Garoua, Unisport du Haut-Nkam, and UCB de Douala. Zé Zanga also ventured to China, becoming one of the early African players to do so. After his playing career, he served as the coach of Esperance de Guider. His sudden death has shocked the African football community.
