Thapelo Maseko provides assist as Copenhagen beat Braga

Thapelo Maseko recorded an assist as Copenhagen began their UEFA Conference League campaign with a 3-0 win over Braga.

The Bafana Bafana winger started the match and played the full 90 minutes, joining a select group of players who remained on the pitch throughout the contest.

The game was Maseko’s first appearance in the Conference League, while it also marked Copenhagen’s opening fixture in this season’s competition.

The 22-year-old has made an encouraging start since joining the Danish club. Across eight appearances in all competitions, he has contributed two goals and two assists.

Copenhagen will now return to domestic action when they face Aarhus this weekend. Their next UEFA Conference League fixture is against Crvena zvezda next week.
