Tcherno Balde completes Kosice U19 move after O Elvas spell

Portugal and Guinea-Bissau winger Tcherno Balde has joined Kosice U19 from O Elvas U19, completing a move to Slovakia on 14 August 2026.

The 18-year-old, who plays on the right wing, moves to a Kosice side competing in Slovakia’s I. Liga SD. Balde is right-footed and stands 1.80m tall, adding experience from Portugal’s youth football system to his new club’s squad.

Balde spent the 2025-26 season with O Elvas U19 after joining them from Estrela da Amadora U19 in July 2025. His spell at O Elvas preceded the move abroad, with the winger now beginning the next stage of his development in Slovak football.

Before joining O Elvas, Balde played for Estrela da Amadora U19 after moving from Olivais U19 in March 2024. He had started his youth career at Alverca U15 before switching to Olivais in July 2023.

His recent competitive record includes six appearances and 221 minutes in the Revelacao U23 Championship, as well as three appearances and 41 minutes in Liga Next Gen. He was also registered for the U-23 Cup Portugal, although no appearances are recorded in that competition.

Balde has dual Portugal and Guinea-Bissau nationality and has been associated internationally with FC Kosice U19. His arrival gives Kosice U19 a young wide player with experience across several Portuguese youth clubs and competitions.

The move was completed on 14 August, with Balde leaving O Elvas U19 to join Kosice U19.
