Tarek Mostafa, the coach of Al Ahli Bank team, asserts that Mohamed Abou Gabal, the team’s goalkeeper, remains unfazed by the failed negotiations with Ahly. Mostafa highlights Abou Gabal as one of the top goalkeepers in the Egyptian league.
Speaking on the “Rimontaada” program aired on Al-Mehwar TV, Mostafa stated, “We have a problem with football pitches, as I experienced during a strong trial in Morocco, where pitches are of the highest quality with outstanding infrastructure.”
He continued, “I played for 15 days away from my home ground to allow for the renovation of our team’s stadium in the Moroccan league.”
Mostafa added, “Cairo Stadium has become a different ground, with a unique character, and we haven’t faced any issues despite playing numerous matches there regularly.”
Expressing gratitude towards the management of Al Ahli Bank for their support, Mostafa said, “Thanks to the Al Ahli Bank management for their recent efforts. Everyone is providing support, and we aim to perform well in the upcoming matches.”
He further commented, “We’ve had some bad luck in previous matches, but we strive to deliver outstanding performances in the future. Al Ahli Bank deserves a higher position in the league, and our goal is to stay in the league. Our ambitions may change if early qualification is secured.”
Addressing the issue of player availability during international breaks, Mostafa revealed, “I have communicated with Captain Hossam Hassan, the national team coach, informing him that breaks are not beneficial for players, clubs, or the national team.
The absence of players from participation has a significant negative impact, and Egyptian players must exhibit strong personalities on the field.”
Mostafa concluded, “Abou Gabal remains unaffected by the failed negotiations with Ahly. He is one of the best Egyptian goalkeepers at present, possessing extensive experience.”
