Tarek El Sayed, former Zamalek star, commended Portuguese coach José Gomes for his strategic prowess in steering the White Knights, emphasizing the team’s adeptness in ball retention and recovery.
Speaking on the program “Zamalkawy” aired on Zamalek TV with Ahmed Ali, El Sayed stated, “Gomes excels in swiftly regaining possession after losing it; Zamalek players have recently showcased enhanced physical fitness levels.”
He added, “However, there’s a need to address the squandering of scoring opportunities by Zamalek players.”
Regarding the inclusion of Ahmed Fotouh and Ahmed Mostafa “Zizo” in Zamalek’s squad against Al Dakhleya, El Sayed remarked that Fotouh represents a significant addition to Zamalek and expressed optimism about his future contributions.
He also expressed a desire for the promotion of a left-back from the youth sector in the coming period.
El Sayed further commented, “Zizo’s medical condition will determine his participation against Al Dakhleya.
While it’s essential for Zizo to be included in the squad, his involvement hinges on his fitness.”
In a separate context, Ibrahim Said, former Egyptian football star and host of the show “90+,” affirmed that Nasser Mansi, a key player in Zamalek’s first football team, will lead the Whites’ attack in the Egyptian Cup final against Al Ahly.
Said stated on the “90+” program broadcasted on Al Nahar channel, “Nasser Mansi will lead Zamalek’s attack against Al Ahly in the Egyptian Cup final.”
He added, “Portuguese coach José Gomes has decided to deploy team player Nasser Mansi as the striker against Al Ahly in the Egyptian Cup final.”
The Egyptian Cup final between Al Ahly and Zamalek for the 2022/2023 season is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 PM on Friday, March 8th, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
