Tarek El-Ashry, the head coach of the first football team at Al-Ittihad Al-Sakandary Club, emphasized that the national coach has been lacking media support and backing, especially during the tenures of Hossam El-Badry and Ehab Galal.
He stated that there was a complete absence of support and backing during their leadership of the national team.
In remarks made on the program “Ya Masa’a Al-Anwar” with Medhat Shalaby on MBC channel, El-Ashry added, “I hope for the return of the national team under the leadership of Hossam Hassan in the upcoming period with all his strength because he represents all Egyptian coaches.”
El-Ashry clarified, “There was a lack of confidence in the national team during the tenures of El-Badry and Galal, and they did not find sufficient support.
Hossam Hassan will bring back the prestige that existed with Mahmoud El-Gohary and Hassan Shehata.”
He continued, “I also personally hope to make history with Al-Ittihad Al-Sakandary in the upcoming period, especially since the team has a distinguished group of players, and the board of directors provides all the team’s demands to achieve all championships.”
