Taye Taiwo Expresses Desire to Return to Marseille
Nigerian left-back Taye Taiwo has revealed his strong desire to return to former club Marseille, where he played from 2005 to 2011. Currently with Turkish side Bursaspor, Taiwo spoke openly about his affection for the French club in an interview with La Provence.
“Yes, why not! I like Marseille! Even when I had to go to Milan, to Kiev, I never forgot Marseille!” Taiwo said, expressing his fondness for the club and the city.
While the door remains open, the decision ultimately rests with Marseille’s management and head coach Marcelo Bielsa, who will determine if the defender fits into the team’s plans moving forward.
Taiwo’s previous stint at Marseille was marked by solid performances, and his potential return would be welcomed by fans hoping to see the experienced full-back back in Ligue 1.
