Brazilian coach Rogerio Micale, the head coach of the Olympic team, has confirmed his selection of three senior players who will join the squad for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
In an interview on the program “Kora Kol Youm” aired on Al Hayat channel, hosted by the presenter Karim Hassan Shehata, Micale stated that he has already decided on the three senior players who will be part of the Olympic team but refrained from disclosing their names, fearing potential injuries.
Micale also discussed the key factors and reasons behind Egypt’s early exit from the recent African Cup of Nations tournament, citing the injuries of Mohamed Salah and Mohamed El Shenawy as crucial factors contributing to Egypt’s premature elimination.
“The injuries sustained by Salah and El Shenawy were among the main reasons for Egypt’s early exit,” Micale stated.
Moreover, Micale praised the Hassan twins, Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, and his brother Ibrahim Hassan, acknowledging them as legends of Egyptian football due to their remarkable achievements.
“I warmly welcome their appointment as coaches of the Egyptian national team, and there will be coordination between us, along with a meeting to organize the upcoming period,” Micale added.
