Nigeria’s Super Eagles are preparing for another crack at the Africa Cup of Nations title, as the competition moves to Morocco later this year.
With 24 teams vying for supremacy, the Super Eagles find themselves in a challenging Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Tunisia, a team with a knack for upsetting Nigeria, particularly stands out. Their 1-0 victory in the Round of 16 during the 2021 AFCON remains fresh in the minds of fans and players alike. To tackle the hurdles ahead, former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has urged his countrymen to approach the tournament with caution.
Speaking to Brila.net, Adepoju stressed the importance of thorough preparation, especially when facing Tunisia, a side capable of causing problems.
“There is no small team in Africa anymore. We just have to prepare very well and play our best when the time comes. On paper, it doesn’t look easy, but it’s not inaccessible either,” he remarked.
When asked about the chance for revenge, Adepoju focused on the task at hand, saying, “We just need to concentrate. We know what happened in that game, but I believe this time, we are going to win.”
