The bus transporting the Shams Football Club was involved in a road accident this Thursday morning en route to the city of Suez for their scheduled match against the Suez Team.
The match was set to take place as part of the Cairo group fixtures in the second division “B” league.
The team’s bus encountered the accident on its journey to the match venue after colliding with a transport vehicle, resulting in some damage to the bus and causing minor injuries to several Shams players.
Those injured were promptly transferred to a nearby hospital to undergo necessary medical examinations and assessments.
Following the incident, the Egyptian Football Association’s Competitions Committee made the decision to postpone the match to a later date, which will be determined and announced in due course.
