Sudanese football club Al-Hilal has announced that it has received preliminary approval to play in the Tanzanian league.
In a statement posted on its official page, Al-Hilal revealed that it had obtained initial consent from the Tanzanian Football Federation to participate in the Tanzanian league.
This announcement follows a letter sent by Al-Hilal to the Tanzanian federation, requesting participation in their league.
The move comes after Al-Hilal Sudan sent several letters to various African football federations, seeking to play in their local leagues due to the suspension of the Sudanese league.
The Sudanese league has been on hiatus for some time due to the ongoing conflict in the country.
Several Sudanese clubs are seeking to compete in leagues of neighboring countries due to the suspension of their domestic league.
