AS Monaco eye summer move for Cameroonian striker Steve Ngoura
AS Monaco are closely monitoring Cameroonian forward Steve Ngoura following his consistent performances for Cercle Brugge this season.
The 21-year-old striker, who joined the Belgian side from Le Havre AC during the winter transfer window, has quickly established himself as an important figure in the club’s attacking setup.
His form has not gone unnoticed, with interest now emerging ahead of the next summer transfer window.
According to Fabrice Hawkins, the Ligue 1 club are tracking Ngoura’s progress and are considering a potential move as they assess options to strengthen their squad.
The reported interest reflects the growing reputation of the young forward, whose performances in Belgium have drawn attention from beyond the domestic league.
Since arriving at Cercle Brugge, Ngoura has featured regularly, underlining his importance to the team.
He has made 29 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season, missing just one possible match, a record that highlights both his fitness and reliability.
In those outings, the striker has contributed four goals and five assists, demonstrating an ability to influence games both as a scorer and a creator.
His consistency has been a key factor behind his rising profile, with clubs now keeping a close watch on his development.
Ngoura’s move from Le Havre marked a significant step in his career, and his swift adaptation to Belgian football has strengthened his standing as a promising young talent.
His performances have provided Cercle Brugge with a dependable option in attack while also offering glimpses of further potential.
With the summer transfer window approaching, speculation surrounding his future is likely to intensify. Monaco’s interest signals the possibility of another move, as the French side evaluates whether to pursue the striker as part of their recruitment plans.
At present, Ngoura remains focused on his role at Cercle Brugge, where he continues to play regularly and contribute to the team’s attacking efforts.
His current market value is estimated at €3 million, reflecting both his performances and his potential for further growth.
