Stephen Eze emerges as Odisha FC target after Jamshedpur spell
Nigeria centre-back Stephen Eze, currently listed with Jamshedpur FC, is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with Odisha FC.
The 32-year-old defender is being considered for a move within the Indian Super League, with Odisha named as his potential destination. Eze has been with Jamshedpur since July 2024, when he joined from Vietnam’s Quang Nam FC on a free transfer.
His listed contract with Jamshedpur expired on 31 May 2026, adding uncertainty to his position at the club and potentially allowing the experienced defender to move without a transfer fee. His current market value is recorded at €250,000.
Eze has spent much of his career moving between clubs in Africa, Europe and Asia. Before returning to Jamshedpur in 2024, he played for Quang Nam, Queen’s Park and Croatian side NK Solin. He also had a previous spell with Jamshedpur, joining the Indian club in 2020 after leaving Kazakhstan’s Tobol Kostanay.
The Makurdi-born defender won the Bulgarian Cup with Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the 2018-19 season, the only major honour listed in his career record. He remains registered with Jamshedpur in the latest player information, while Odisha FC is the club currently linked with a move.
