Stellenbosch FC have achieved a significant milestone in the South African top-flight, ending their ten consecutive winless streak against Sekhukhune United.

The match, held at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday ended 2-1 for Stellenbosch FC, breaking a streak of eight defeats and two draws.

Additionally, it was the first time Stellenbosch had recorded four consecutive away victories in the Premiership. The victory extended their unbeaten league run to eight matches, strengthening their bid for a CAF Confederation Cup qualification.

Stellenbosch are currently third on the Premiership standings, accumulating 35 points from 21 appearances.

They will return to action on April 2 for a massive CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final first leg against defending champions Zamalek after the international break.

The South African outfit will be yearning for a positive result when they take on Zamalek as they seek to progress to the semifinals of the competition.
