French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais FC are keen on extending their contract with head coach Habib Beye.
The club is impressed with the work of the French-Senegalese tactician and wants to keep him at the club beyond the end of the 2024/25 football season.
The former manager of Red Star joined Stade Rennais on a deal set to run until the end of the current campaign. However, his contract includes an option for a one-year extension, which the club appears ready to activate.
Under the guidance of the coach, Stade Rennais have clawed their way out of the relegation playoff zone and now sit in 12th place heading into the weekend’s fixtures. His efforts have not gone unnoticed by the club’s hierarchy, who believe he is the right man to lead them into the 2025/26 season.
Checks have revealed that Habib Beye is also loving his time at the French Ligue 1 club and wants to stay for a longer period.
Both parties are said to have started negotiations over a contract extension deal. In addition, the club is also working with Beye to bring in new signings for the next football season.
