French outfit Stade Rennais are pushing for the acquisition of Senegal and Strasbourg midfielder Habib Diarra as the summer transfer window approaches.
Despite having a running contract, Strasbourg will not hesitate to cash in on the enterprising midfielder this summer.
Rennais are said not to be opposed to losing their captain in the upcoming window. Strasbourg are prepared to cash in on some high-value assets in the team including Diarra as they seeks to balance their books.
However, Strasbourg will not stand in his way in the event of an acceptable offer this summer.
Diarra’s contract with Strasbourg runs until 2028, however, he will not depart the club on a cheap, given that there is Premier League interest, which is bound to drive up the price.
Per reports, Everton and Brighton and Hove Albion are both interested in signing the midfielder during the off-season.
The midfielder has scored four goals and provided five assists in 32 appearances across competitions this season.
