Al-Nassr Football Club has officially agreed to loan out their player, Siko Fofana, to Al-Ittihad, marking a significant development in the transfer dealings between the two Saudi Arabian clubs.
The management of Al-Nassr has given their formal approval for the loan, urging Al-Ittihad’s counterparts to swiftly finalize the intricacies of the arrangement with the player.
Saudi sports newspaper, Al-Riyadhiah, confirmed Al-Nassr’s official consent to Fofana’s loan move to Al-Ittihad.
Fofana, who played 19 matches for Al-Nassr this season, successfully contributed two goals and assisted in another.
The 28-year-old midfielder is also a key player for the Ivory Coast national team, currently competing in the Africa Cup of Nations.
This announcement comes on the eve of Ivory Coast’s clash against Senegal in the Round of 16, where Fofana will don the Elephants’ jersey.
Ivory Coast secured a spot in the knockout stage by finishing third in their group, and Fofana’s performance will be closely watched in both national and club contexts.
The Ivorian midfielder made his move to Al-Nassr from French club Lens last summer, and this loan arrangement signals a strategic decision in reshaping the dynamics of the Saudi football landscape.
