Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has called for patience and understanding as teenage winger Lamine Yamal continues his rise to stardom.
Speaking at a coaching event in Merida, the national team coach acknowledged the 17-year-old’s exceptional talent but stressed the need to allow him time to develop.
“Lamine Yamal is destined to be a legend of football,” said the Spanish coach. “But he’s in a continuous learning process.”
Yamal’s performances have dazzled both for club and country this season. The Barcelona forward played in 35 La Liga matches, scoring nine goals and assisting 13. Lamine Yamal’s impact was central to Barcelona’s title win, beating rivals Real Madrid to the trophy.
