South African international Percy Tau has parted ways with Qatar SC following a brief spell at the club.
The 31-year-old attacker leaves the Qatari outfit after just six months at the club following the closure of the Qatar Stars League season.
Tau joined Qatar SC mid-season from Egyptian giants Al Ahly and played a role in helping the club avoid relegation from the top-flight.
During his stint in Doha, Tau featured in nine Qatar Stars League matches, providing four assists without scoring a goal. The eight-time league champions struggled in the just ended season, finishing in a disappointing 10th position in the league, just one spot above the relegation zone.
The 31-year-old attacker is one of six players departing Qatar SC, as the club reshuffles its squad.
Other departures include Javier Martinez, Ben Malango, Badr Benoun, Ahmed Abdel El-Kader, and Carlinhos Vinicius, as well as head coach Mehdi Natfi.
The experienced forward is expected to find himself a new club before the commencement of the new season.
