The defender, who joined Kaizer Chiefs from Orlando Pirates last summer struggled in first stint with due to persistent injuries
However, the potential signing of Mako would push Sam even further down Nasreddine Nabi’s pecking order, making it unlikely he’ll be part of Kaizer Chiefs’ plans for the upcoming season.
The 27-year-old defender’s current contract with Kaizer Chiefs is expected to expire in the summer of 2027.
