South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs are considering signing Mamelodi Sundowns rising star Thapelo Maseko as the summer transfer window approaches.
Kaizer Chiefs are seeking to strengthen their squad for the new campaign following an inconsistent performance in the current campaign.
In an attempt to end Sundowns dominance, the Amakhosi outfit has set sights on securing the services of the promising talent.
Kaizer Chiefs’ scouts have been following Maseko’s performances for a long time, believing he can make a difference in the club’s rebuilding project.
Maseko, 21, was Kaizer Chiefs target even before his move to Sundowns, but his limited appearances for the Brazilians (just 11 games with no goals or assists) could open the door to a move this time around, especially after a failed attempt to bring him back to Supersport United on loan in January.
Kaizer Chiefs are currently eight on the South African League standings, accumulating 30 points from 24 appearances so far this season.
