South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs is no longer interested in the signing of experienced attacker Percy Tau in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion star is, at the moment, unattached after recently parting ways with Qatari SC.
Tau severed ties with Qatari SC this month following a short spell in the Asian country. He is now available to join any club on a free transfer.
Despite declaring readiness for a return to South Africa, the Soweto giants are said to have ruled out a move for the forward as they pursue other options.
Kaizer Chiefs have lost interest in the forward and will not make a move this window, as the club considers their options.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs for Pyramids forward Fiston Mayele hangs in the air, as the Egyptian outfit has no intention of sanctioning a move.
During his stint in Doha, Tau featured in nine Qatar Stars League matches, providing four assists without scoring a goal. The eight-time league champions struggled in the just ended season, finishing in a disappointing 10th position in the league, just one spot above the relegation zone.
