South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs have set sights on securing the services of Slovakian attacker Robert Polievka this summer.
The Soweto giants are keen on bolstering their squad for the upcoming campaign, following an inconsistent season, particularly in the South African top-flight.
Having secured the Cup title in South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs are expected to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
As the club look to strengthen their squad, they have targeted Robert Polievka, who plies his trade for Hungarian club MTK Budapest.
The 29-year-old attacker is under contract until 2027, which means Kaizer Chiefs will have to pay a hefty transfer fee to secure his services.
Following Chivaviro’s departure from the Amakhosi, the club is in need of an experienced striker. However, the potential recruit’s scoring record has left Chiefs fans unconvinced.
Polievka has netted just four goals in 26 matches across all competitions—numbers that fall short of what supporters expect from a prospective lead striker.
