South African outfit Chippa United have announced the appointment of Sinethemba Badela as their new head coach heading into the new campaign.
The 35-year-old, who is a former assistant coach of Wydad Casablanca will spearhead Chippa United in the 2025/26 football campaign.
Badela served as the assistant coach of the Moroccan giants under the then South African coach Rulani Mokwena.
He replaces Thabo September, who departed the club at the end of the campaign and is expected to guide the team to success in the upcoming campaign.
Now, Badela will look to build on the foundation laid by September and his staff while introducing his own football philosophy to the team.
Badela is no stranger to Chippa United, having previously worked as an assistant coach under Rhulani Mokwena in 2020.
Chippa United finished 11th on the recently concluded South African top-flight campaign.
