South African midfielder excelled for USL Championship side FC Tulsa in his first start following a long break from competitive football.
The 27-year-old, who joined the American outfit in March from Sekhukhune United lasted the entire duration in his outfit clash against Birmingham Legion FC in the USL.
Despite his outfit succumbing to a 2-1 home defeat, the South African midfielder showcased glimpses of good performance in the match.
Webber’s move to the U.S. came after a standout season in South Africa’s top flight. Before signing with Tulsa, he was on Kaizer Chiefs’ radar following a strong campaign with SuperSport United and Sekhukhune, where he contributed five goals and five assists in 36 appearances.
Since arriving in Oklahoma, the central midfielder has already made six appearances across all competitions, taking to social media to celebrate his first start for the club.
“First start for FC Tulsa—honored to represent this club. The support from the fans has been incredible. This is only the start!” he wrote.
Tulsa’s next challenge is an away fixture against Sacramento Republic on June 8, 2025, as Webber looks to build momentum in his new chapter.
