South African giants Orlando Pirates have officially parted ways with experienced midfielder Miguel Timm following the expiration of his contract.
The 33-year-old South African midfielder leaves the club after almost two-year spell with the Soweto giants. Timm, who joined Pirates in 2022, made 66 appearances across competitions, delivering just an assist.
Timm had a modest performance this season, making only three appearances across competitions for Pirates.
Following the expiration of his contract, the club has decided to part ways with the experienced midfielder heading into the summer campaign.
“Thank you, Miguel Timm, for every tackle, every pass, and every battle fought. We wish you all the best. Once, always,” reads the Orlando Pirates’ statement.
Timm has almost spent his entire professional career in South Africa, featuring for Chippa United, Bidvest Wit FC, Maritzburg United and others.
Having departed the Soweto giants, Timm is expected to find himself a new club since he is yet to announce retirement from football.
