South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns have parted ways with duo Sipho Mbule and Rivaldo Coetzee heading into the new campaign.
The pair leaves the South African giants as free agents following the expiration of their contracts. With the new season fast approaching, the duo are expected to find themselves a new club before the commencement of the 2025/26 campaign.
Rivaldo Coetzee, 28, is leaving Sundowns after eight year spell at the club. This season, the South African international made just eight appearances for the club.
He joined Sundowns in 2017 and established himself as a key member of the team until he fell down the pecking order in the just ended season.
Since making his debut for South African in 2014, the enterprising midfielder has made 25 appearances for the Bafana Bafana.
Sipho Mbule, 27, on the other hand, spent last season on loan at Sekhukhune United FC, making 17 appearances, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
Upon his return, Sundowns have opted not to renew his contract including Rivaldo Coetzee.
Meanwhile, the duo have emerged as a top transfer target for fellow South Africa outfit Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, who are also seeking to strengthen their squads for the new season.
