South African trainer Pitso Mosimane set for sensational return is set for a sensational to the coaching heading into the new campaign.
Mosimane has been unattached since early 2025, after failing to reach an agreement on a contract extension with Iranian club Esteghlal, which he had managed since October 2024.
Following his departure from Esteghlal, the 60-year-old tactician has experienced a period of relative calm in his career.
However, reports emanating from South Africa suggests Mosimane is in line for a swift return to coaching ahead of next season.
The South African gaffer could make a return to Egypt, with Zamalek pushing for his services. The White Knights finished last season under interim head coach Ayman El-Ramady, who was never confirmed as the permanent boss.
Among candidates considered for the Zamalek job, Mosimane reportedly tops the list. He previously enjoyed tremendous success with Zamalek’s arch-rivals Al Ahly, capturing a host of trophies in just two years, including back-to-back CAF Champions League titles.
