Golden Arrows, a South African first division club, has officially announced the resignation of its coach, Mushin Ertugral, just one year after his appointment at Lamontville. In a press release on the club’s website, it is stated that Ertugral took this decision due to the team’s performances falling short of the expectations set by the management.
“I made this decision in the interest of the club. This situation is not a lack of will. When the results do not come, you have to make decisions no matter how difficult they are,” explained Ertugral. The former manager of Ajax Cape Town and Kaizer Chiefs expressed his best wishes for his now-former club and extended good luck to his successor.
As of now, Golden Arrows is positioned 13th in the South African championship, with only one victory in seven games. Additionally, the team has recently been eliminated from the National Cup. Ertugral had joined the club in October 2021.
