A Robert Kelly concert, widely known as R. Kelly, has taken precedence over a championship match in Nelson Mandela’s country. The Orlando Pirates-Amazulu match, scheduled for the first day of the PSL, will no longer take place at Orlando Stadium as initially planned.
The relocation of the match is attributed to a concert by the American R&B star, R. Kelly, who is performing on the same day at the same venue. It’s noteworthy that R. Kelly’s tour to South Africa was originally planned for March but was canceled due to insufficient ticket sales.
In light of this scheduling conflict, the Orlando Pirates, coming off a notable 3-0 victory in the African Champions League against Al Ahly, will now play their match at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg. The change in venue ensures that both the concert and the football match can proceed as planned without conflicting with each other.
