Souleymane Toure: Ouakam sign Senegal defender after Sacre Cur exit

Senegal centre-back Souleymane Toure has joined Ouakam from Sacre Cur on a free transfer, becoming the latest addition to the Ligue 1 club’s squad.

The 18-year-old has signed a contract with Ouakam until 30 June 2027. Toure’s move was completed on 1 September, bringing him back to a club also referred to as US Ouakam in the Senegalese top flight.

Toure arrives after one season with Sacre Cur, whom he joined from Jamono Fatick in July 2025. That move was also completed as a free transfer. He previously played for Jolof OC before switching to Jamono Fatick in July 2024.

The left-footed defender stands 1.87m tall and has made 25 Ligue 1 appearances during his career, scoring two goals. His appearances have amounted to 2,137 minutes, with an average of one goal every 1,069 minutes.

Toure’s arrival keeps him in Senegal’s top division and adds a young centre-back to an Ouakam squad competing in Ligue 1. He was born in Dalifort on 5 May 2008 and represents Senegal at national level.

His route to Ouakam has involved three free transfers in successive moves. After leaving Jolof OC for Jamono Fatick, he moved on to Sacre Cur and has now switched to Ouakam, where his contract runs through the end of June 2027.

The transfer was completed without a fee, and Toure is now an Ouakam player.
