Souleymane Cissé scores on Al Najma debut

Souleymane Cissé marked his first appearance for Al Najma SC with a goal just one minute after coming off the bench in their 3-0 victory over Damac FC in the Saudi league.

The Senegalese striker entered the match in the 63rd minute and broke the deadlock in the 64th, giving his new club the lead and making an immediate impact following his arrival.

Cissé’s goal set Al Najma on their way to a convincing victory, with Khalid Al-Khathlan scoring twice late in the match to complete the result.

The former Jaraaf forward made his introduction count at a crucial moment, finding the net while the contest remained goalless. His quick contribution gave Al Najma the breakthrough they needed against Damac and provided a promising start to his time with the Saudi club.

Cissé makes immediate impact

Having come on as a substitute in the second half, Cissé wasted little time announcing himself to his new supporters.

The 64th-minute strike came barely 60 seconds after his introduction, with the Senegalese forward putting Al Najma ahead in his first outing for the team.

His ability to make an immediate difference offered an encouraging start to his spell at the club. After leaving Jaraaf, Cissé has begun his new chapter in Saudi Arabia with a performance that helped his side secure all three points.

The opening goal proved important in a match that had remained goalless until his arrival. Cissé’s finish changed the momentum of the contest and gave Al Najma the advantage as they looked to establish control.

The striker’s contribution was also a personal milestone, as he scored on his debut in his new colours rather than having to wait for further opportunities to open his account.

Al Najma complete comfortable victory

Al Najma strengthened their advantage in the closing stages through Khalid Al-Khathlan, who scored twice to ensure the home side finished with a comfortable three-goal margin.

Al-Khathlan found the net in the 78th minute before adding his second goal in the 86th, putting the result beyond doubt and completing the 3-0 victory over Damac.

The two late goals ensured that Cissé’s early breakthrough was followed by a strong finish from his team-mates, with Al Najma securing the win without conceding.

For Cissé, the result provided an ideal introduction to his new club. Scoring so soon after entering the match will give the Senegalese striker encouragement as he looks to establish himself and earn more playing time.

His debut goal also offered Al Najma an immediate return from his introduction, with the former Jaraaf player helping to set the tone for a convincing team performance.

With his first appearance now complete, Cissé will look to build on the promising start and continue contributing to Al Najma’s campaign in Saudi Arabia.
