Moroccan football fans will be able to follow the Atlas Lions’ FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign on national television after the National Company of Radio and Television secured the broadcasting rights for the country’s matches at the tournament.

The agreement ensures that Morocco’s World Cup fixtures will be available to audiences across the country as excitement continues to build ahead of the competition in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Deal Reached with beIN Sports

According to SNRTNews, the broadcasting rights were obtained following successful negotiations with beIN Sports, the official rights holder for the Middle East and North Africa region.

SNRT welcomed the agreement, describing it as another step in its mission to provide Moroccan viewers with access to the biggest sporting events on the international calendar.

The broadcaster said the deal reflects its commitment to bringing major global competitions closer to Moroccan audiences and ensuring widespread coverage of the national team’s World Cup journey.

Extensive Tournament Coverage Planned

In addition to broadcasting the matches, SNRT has confirmed plans for comprehensive coverage throughout the tournament.

The network will deploy production and reporting teams across the United States, Canada and Mexico to deliver on-site reports, exclusive content and in depth analysis from the World Cup.

The broadcaster expects Morocco’s matches to be among the highlights of its sports programming, given the enormous popularity of the Atlas Lions both at home and among Moroccan communities around the world.

Morocco Set for Challenging Group Stage

Morocco will begin its World Cup campaign on June 13 with a high-profile clash against Brazil in Group C.

The Atlas Lions have also been drawn alongside Scotland and Haiti in what promises to be a competitive group.

Their second group match will take place against Scotland on June 19, before they conclude the opening phase of the tournament against Haiti on June 24.

Final Preparations Underway

Before turning their attention to the World Cup, Morocco will continue preparations with a friendly match against Madagascar before facing Norway on June 7.

The fixtures are expected to provide valuable opportunities for the coaching staff to assess the squad and fine-tune their plans ahead of the tournament.

New Era Following Historic Achievement

Morocco heads into the 2026 World Cup carrying the weight of high expectations following its remarkable run at the 2022 tournament in Qatar.

Under Walid Regragui, the Atlas Lions became the first African and Arab nation to reach the semi-finals of a FIFA World Cup, earning worldwide admiration for their performances.

This time, the team will be led by Mohamed Ouahbi, who has selected a 26-man squad blending experienced stars with emerging talents eager to make their mark on the global stage.

Confidence High Within the Squad

Key players such as Achraf Hakimi and Yassine Bounou are expected to play crucial roles as Morocco looks to make another deep run in the competition.

Ouahbi has repeatedly expressed confidence in the quality and depth of Moroccan football, insisting that the country possesses one of the strongest talent pools in its history.

The coach has also praised both the players selected for the tournament and those who narrowly missed out, underlining the growing strength of Morocco’s national team setup as it prepares for another opportunity to create history on football’s biggest stage.
