Kaizer Chiefs Ladies extend unbeaten run with victory over Bluebirds

Kaizer Chiefs Ladies strengthened their promotion push with a 2-0 victory over Bluebirds Ladies FC in the Gauteng Sasol Women’s Provincial League at Alex Safe Hub on Saturday afternoon.

The result extended the Glamour Girls’ unbeaten sequence to 12 matches. During that run, Kaizer Chiefs Ladies have recorded 11 wins and one draw while scoring 32 goals.

It was another clean sheet for Unathi Mabena’s side, who once again controlled the contest from start to finish. The win maintains their strong form as they continue their challenge for promotion, with eight matches still to play.

Kaizer Chiefs Ladies had entered the fixture in confident mood after beating Mito Stars 4-2 in their previous match. That result came on the road and delivered a deserved maximum return for Amakhosazana.

They followed it up with another convincing performance against Bluebirds Ladies FC, securing all three points without conceding. Although the margin of victory was two goals, the outcome marked another important step in their sustained run of results.

Mabena’s players have now built considerable momentum during the latter stages of their campaign. Their unbeaten record, combined with the 32 goals scored across the sequence, underlines the consistency they have shown in both attack and defence.

The latest victory also gives the Glamour Girls further encouragement in their pursuit of promotion. With eight league games remaining, Kaizer Chiefs Ladies have additional opportunities to build on their current form and keep their challenge on course.

Saturday’s success came after the team had already demonstrated its ability to win away from home against Mito Stars. The 4-2 triumph in that fixture was followed by a more defensively secure display against Bluebirds Ladies FC, with Kaizer Chiefs Ladies once again finding a way to take maximum points.

For Bluebirds Ladies FC, the match ended in defeat as the Glamour Girls continued their unbeaten sequence. Kaizer Chiefs Ladies’ latest clean sheet was their 12th successive unbeaten match, and the result ensured their promotion hopes remained firmly alive with the campaign moving towards its conclusion.

The team’s record in those 12 matches now stands at 11 victories and a single draw, while their 32-goal tally reflects the attacking output that has driven their run.
