Siyanda Ndlovu targets Bafana Bafana call-up after Sundowns move

Mamelodi Sundowns winger Siyanda Ndlovu says he is determined to improve and work hard enough to earn his first call-up to the Bafana Bafana squad.

The 22-year-old joined the Brazilians before the current season after making a strong impression during his time with Golden Arrows.

Ndlovu has made an encouraging start at Sundowns, offering glimpses of his ability in the matches he has played since completing the move.

However, he is yet to feature for the senior national team and knows he must continue developing his performances if he is to catch the eye of new Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane.

“I think I do have a wish to play for the national team, and I’ll work hard to get that recognition,” Ndlovu told Ukhozi FM.

He believes Mosimane’s experience in the game will help him assess the available players and make his decisions as national team coach.

“The new coach, Pitso, I believe he’ll look at the players at his own way also because he’s the national team coach,” said Ndlovu.

“Surely, the experience he has will help him also to choose players in the right way because he has coached for the long time in football.”

Ndlovu also acknowledged that he must raise his own standards rather than rely solely on his performances so far.

“But I also have to push and improve more than what I’m doing now to get that recognition,” he added.
