Nigerian winger Simon Moses has left the door open regarding his future at FC Nantes, as speculation grows over a possible departure this summer.

With his contract set to expire in June 2026, the 29-year-old remains non-committal about extending his stay with the French club.

Transfer rumors and citizenship speculation

Recent reports have suggested that Moses is in the process of acquiring French nationality, which could influence his long-term future.

However, with just one year remaining on his contract before entering its final season, speculation is mounting that he could be on the move at the end of the current campaign.

Despite the growing rumors, Moses has not ruled out any possibilities, stating that his priority remains enjoying his football.

“For the moment, in my head, I am happy here. You can be at a bigger club, not play, and not be happy. Playing in European competitions is, of course, something I have already experienced, but if it doesn’t happen… My job is Nantes. After that, I don’t know,” he said.

His comments suggest that while he remains committed to Les Canaris, he is also open to potential offers if a suitable opportunity arises.

Moses’ impact this season

Moses has been in fine form this season, delivering six goals and seven assists in 21 appearances, making it one of his most productive campaigns since joining Nantes.

His contributions have been instrumental in the club’s attacking play, and his performances have already surpassed his output from last season.

Since arriving in France, Moses has established himself as a key player, drawing interest from several clubs due to his consistent performances and versatility on the wing.

Before joining Nantes, he had stints in Spain, Belgium, and Slovakia, demonstrating his adaptability across different leagues.

Market value and future prospects

Currently valued at €12 million, Moses remains an attractive option for clubs seeking an experienced winger with a proven track record in Ligue 1.

With Nantes facing uncertainty over his contract situation, they may be forced to consider selling him this summer rather than risk losing him for free in 2026.

Whether he remains in France or explores a new challenge elsewhere, Simon Moses’ future will be closely watched as the summer transfer window approaches.
