Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” has taken a firm legal step against former Zamalek president Mortada Mansour, filing an official report with the Giza Security Directorate’s Internet Investigations Department.
The Zamalek captain accused Mansour of slander and defamation based on videos shared online. These clips show Mansour levelling harsh allegations at Shikabala and current Zamalek board members.
In the circulated footage, Mansour claimed Shikabala had previously urged teammates to skip training sessions, adding to internal unrest. He further accused the midfielder of abandoning European club Sporting Lisbon, which, according to him, led to financial penalties against Zamalek due to Shikabala’s conduct.
The ongoing tension between the two figures is nothing new, but this legal move adds a new twist to their rocky history. Shikabala’s action signals he will no longer remain silent in the face of public accusations.
While Zamalek fans are divided on the matter, this report could mark the beginning of a new chapter in the long-running feud between the club legend and its controversial ex-president.
