In accordance with the session held at the ministry’s headquarters on December 1, 2023, during which an agreement was reached to officially reopen Shadli Zouiten Stadium on January 15 of the current year to host official matches, implementing the directives of President Kais Saied.
Diwan President Shukri Ben Hassan, deputized by the Minister of Youth and Sports Kamel Daghish, conducted an inspection visit to Shadli Zouiten Stadium.
The visit included an assessment of the stadium’s condition and a review of the progress of the scheduled works.
It was officially announced during the visit that Shadli Zouiten Stadium is ready to host matches on the specified date, as agreed upon by all involved parties.
Partial utilization with a limited seating capacity restricted to the covered stands is planned initially, gradually increasing the number of spectators after completing the ongoing works, including the preparation of dressing rooms and raising the height of the fences of the uncovered stands, ensuring the safety of sports enthusiasts.
This week, the Stadium Authorization Committee will grant the necessary technical approval for the legal opening of the stadium as a formal essential procedure.
This marks a significant milestone in the stadium’s preparation, reflecting a collaborative effort to create a secure and efficient venue for sporting events.
The reopening aligns with President Kais Saied’s vision to enhance the country’s sports infrastructure, providing a positive outlook for the future of sports in Tunisia.
