Sevilla FC, the Spanish football club, has disclosed the details of their vice president José Castro’s visit to Morocco, on the sidelines of their under-19 team’s participation in the Mohammed VI Academy International League.

In a statement, the Andalusian club remarked, “This endeavor underscores our ongoing commitment to strengthening our ties with the Kingdom of Morocco, as evidenced by the recent visit of Vice President José Castro to Morocco during the past week.”

The statement further stated, “The club aims to delve deeper into the rich fabric of local football culture, having already fostered a close relationship, thanks to the successes achieved by Moroccan talents such as Youssef En-Nesyri, Yassine Bounou, and Munir El Haddadi.”

It continued, “José Castro’s mission included a pivotal meeting with the President of the Union of Sports Jaouad Mansour, Mohamed Mehdi Benjelloun.

Additionally, the club’s vice president held discussions with Amine Bengelloun, vice president of Sporting Club of Casablanca, the runner-up of the African Women’s Champions League.”

Sevilla FC emphasized, “The Mohammed VI Academy serves as a center for training and producing high-level players, carrying emotional significance as it witnessed the formative years of Youssef En-Nesyri, whose name adorns one of the football pitches at the academy.”
