Seven Moroccan football clubs will be forced to seek alternative stadiums for their matches in the Round of 16 of the Throne Cup competition during the current football season due to the criteria set by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), which must be met by the stadiums hosting the matches starting from this stage.
According to a statement from the Football Federation, seven clubs that qualified for the Round of 16 of the Throne Cup will have to change the stadiums where they host their matches, in compliance with the Federation’s decision to hold all matches in this round in the evening and with the presence of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, natural grass, and adequate lighting.
Seven clubs will be unable to host matches at their own stadiums due to their failure to meet the required conditions.
These clubs include Union Islamique Oujda, Adrar Souss, Olympique Dcheira, Qods Taza, Wydad Témara, Union Fqih Ben Salah, and Widad Tamara.
These clubs are expected to use stadiums located in the same region to which they belong, with the same procedure continuing in the subsequent rounds.
