Seth Green: Durban City FC sign South African striker from Orlando Pirates Reserves

Durban City FC have completed the signing of South African striker Seth Green from Orlando Pirates Reserves ahead of the 2026-27 Betway Premiership season. The 22-year-old forward joins the top-flight club on a permanent deal, with the transfer finalised on 6 July 2026. The fee has not been disclosed.

Green, who plays as a central striker, arrives after a spell within the Orlando Pirates system that included a loan stint at Upington City FC during the 2024-25 campaign. He first moved to the Pirates reserves from NB La Masia Football Club in September 2024, having joined La Masia the previous year.

Born on 21 January 2004, Green continues his career in South Africa with what represents a step into a Betway Premiership environment at Durban City. The move keeps him in domestic football, with both his previous and new clubs based in South Africa.

His loan at Upington City straddled the 2024-25 season, with Green initially leaving Orlando Pirates Reserves for the Northern Cape side at the start of 2025 before the move was recorded as an active loan transfer in June 2025. Prior to that, his rise through NB La Masia FC had taken him into one of the countrys most prominent reserve-team structures at Orlando Pirates.

Green now links up with Durban City FC as an attacking option for the 2026-27 campaign in the Betway Premiership.
