SERIE A-MILAN: EL SHAARAWY DOES NOT WANT TO MISS THE WORLD CUP

Stephan El Shaarawy, who has been absent from the pitch since December 2013, is finally making his long-awaited return to action. After undergoing surgery on his right foot last December, the young AC Milan striker has battled through a tough season, dealing with multiple injuries. Now, fully recovered from both his thigh and foot injuries, El Shaarawy is back in the Rossoneri squad and eager to make an impact.

In a recent interview with Gazetta dello Sport, the Italian international, who has been nicknamed “The Pharaoh,” expressed his readiness to make a strong comeback. El Shaarawy, determined to reclaim his spot, is even aiming for a place in Italy’s World Cup squad. “Why shouldn’t I believe in the World Cup? Prandelli knows what I can bring,” he said, showing his belief in his abilities.

Looking ahead to the upcoming Milan derby against Inter, El Shaarawy emphasized his desire to prove himself, even if he doesn’t yet have 90 minutes of match fitness. “I want to prove to everyone that even if I don’t have 90 minutes in my legs, I’ll give it my all in the derby. Even if I only play 20-30 minutes in the second half, it will be important for me,” he added, making it clear that he’s ready to make a decisive impact.

This marks a pivotal moment for El Shaarawy, and his performances in the coming weeks could be crucial in determining his role for both AC Milan and the Italian national team.
