Serhou Guirassy’s electric form for Borussia Dortmund has earned him the top spot in Kicker magazine’s prestigious striker rankings for the 2024/25 season.
The Guinean forward stepped up when it mattered most, delivering key performances that pushed Dortmund to a Champions League quarterfinal and a strong finish in the Bundesliga.
Guirassy finished the Bundesliga campaign with seven goals and three assists in the final stretch, helping Dortmund secure fourth place. In Europe, he was even more impressive. He bagged seven goals and three assists in the Champions League, forming one of the tournament’s most potent attacks.
His hat-trick in the second leg against Barcelona was one of the standout individual performances of the season. Although it wasn’t enough to overturn the tie, it showcased his ability to perform on the biggest stage.
With 13 goals, Guirassy ended as the joint top scorer in the Champions League alongside Raphinha, an achievement that underlined his clinical edge and lifted him above all competitors in Kicker’s striker ranking.
Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike placed fourth on the list.
