Senegalese midfielder Habib Diarra is set to miss RC Strasbourg Alsace’s clash against Saint-Etienne in the French Ligue 1 his weekend.
The youngster was in action for his team last weekend when they battled to a goalless stalemate with AS Monaco in the league.
Unfortunately, he could only play 57 minutes before he was forced off due to an injury.
Assessments after the game revealed that he suffered a relapse of an ankle injury that had affected him in the past.
Fortunately, it was not that serious as he was able to return to Strasbourg’s training on Tuesday.
Despite the good news, his manager, Liam Rosenior, does not plan to rush him back into action.
Instead, the Strasbourg coach wants to take every precaution to ensure Habib returns to action fully recovered from the pain he felt during the Monaco draw.
As a result, the Senegalese midfielder is set to miss the game against Saint-Etienne on Saturday.
