Senegal youngster Lamine Camara has emerged as a top transfer target for Spanish giants, Barcelona ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been impressive this season for Monaco, scoring two goals and providing six assists in 31 appearances across competitions.
Camara was a standout performer when Monaco defeated Barcelona 2-1 during the group phase of the UEFA Champions League last year, courting the attention of the Spanish club.
The enterprising midfielder’s strong performance has caught the attention of several clubs including Barcelona, who are desperate to secure his services.
Barcelona faces competition from Real Madrid and several Premier League, namely Tottenham, Chelsea, and German giants Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, Tottenham and Liverpool are reportedly the two most likely destinations for Camara. His current value is around 45-50 million euros.
The 21-year-old Camara won the “Golden Boy” award of Africa last year and is already a full-fledged member of the Senegal national team, having scored six goals in 23 appearances.
